Resistance
The majority of Little Rock residents were anti-integration. They displayed their animosity towards African-Americans by protesting the enrollment of the Little Rock Nine. As a result the 101st Airborne Division were summoned to escort The Little Rock Nine and regulate the protesters.
Transformation
The story of Crisis in Little Rock relates to transformation because the story takes place during the civil rights movement in 1957. Schools were long since segregated preventing equal rights for all students. With the enrollment of "The Little Rock Nine" the nation slowly transformed from a discriminatory based society to a truly free and equal nation.
Integration
Up until Brown vs. Board of Education, the nation was segregated by law. After the Supreme Court's ruling in favor of Brown, segregation was abolished. Soon after, integration was enforced into the school systems.
